The use of personal information collected through our service platform shall be limited to the purpose of providing the service for which a Client (as defined below) has engaged HealthSTAR.
We collect the following kinds of personal information from or on behalf of the Clients:
Speaker Profile: Password, Username, Affiliation, Title, Personal Contact Information such as address and phone numbers and we may ask for specialty information like SLN (Subscriber Line Number), NPI (National Provider Identifier Standard), etc.
We also collect the following information from our Clients or our Clients’ end users:
- Travel Information
- Uploaded Documents
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Biographical Information
- Expense Submissions
We use this information for:
- Profile management;
- Activity acceptance/decline (speaker confirmation) and activity management;
- invitations to speakers;
- travel management;
- Content access, posting and management (content library);
- Expense management and payment detail; and
- Training management.
We collect this personal information on behalf of our Clients. If you are a speaker (HealthSTAR’s Client’s end user) of one of our Clients and would no longer like to be contacted by another one of our Clients that use our service, please contact the Client that you interact with directly or you may contact us directly (see the Your Right to Request Deletion section and User Access and Choice section below). If you are a Client and would like to update your account please contact us at email@example.com.
HealthSTAR may not have a direct relationship with certain individuals whose personal information it processes. An individual speaker who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct their query to HealthSTAR’s Client (the data controller) responsible for your personal information to ensure continuity of your business relationship; however, you may also contact us directly (see the Your Right to Request Deletion section and User Access and Choice section below). If requested to remove data, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
HealthSTAR will retain personal data we process on behalf of our Clients and our Clients’ end users for as long as needed to provide services to our Client. HealthSTAR will also retain this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your Right to Request Deletion
You have a right to request the deletion of your personal information from our records. If you would like to request deletion of your personal information, please contact us (see the “Contact Us” section below).
Sources From Which We Collect Personal Information
HealthSTAR collects information from various interfaces on the Websites. HealthSTAR may also be provided personal information for processing by Clients.
Purposes for Collecting Your Personal Information
Information we collect is used for: (i) registering you for a seminar or event; (ii) responding to your inquiries and/or complaints; (iii) carrying out our obligations to HealthSTAR’s clients that you associate with for business purposes (each, a “Client”); (iv) enforcing our rights; (v) providing our services to you and to HealthSTAR’s clients; and (vi) fulfilling any other purpose for which you provide your personal information to us.
We aggregate data on site usage for site enhancements, product development, and market research. This data may contain personal information. On occasion, we may provide data in aggregate form, with individual user-identifying information removed, to third parties. Any outside firm that receives aggregate data from HealthSTAR must agree not to attempt to re-identify individuals from the aggregate data.
Categories of Third Parties With Whom We Share Personal Information
California Residents. We will not disclose or share your personal information with third parties for the purposes of third-party marketing to you without your prior consent. We do not sell your personal information.

We follow generally accepted industry security standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once it is received.
